Patrick Galbraith is a software engineer at Northscale, a leading provider of scale-out infrastructure software for Web applications. Patrick is the maintainer of DBD::mysql, DBD::drizzle and the Memcached UDF Functions for MySQL. Doug Gault, Sumneva
Doug Gault has been working with Oracle since 1988 starting with version 5.1B, SQL*Forms 2.0, and RPT/RPF. Since then he has focused his career on Oracle's development technologies, spending the last decade on Web-based technologies, and the last five years specifically on HTML DB/APEX. Prior to joining Sumneva, Doug was the product development director for Hotsos Enterprises, during which time he was the lead architect/developer and product manager for two commercial products written in exclusively in APEX. His twenty one years of Oracle experience have taken him all over the world and involved him in some truly ground-breaking projects. Doug has presented and participated in round table discussions at a number of conferences including Oracle OpenWorld, UKOUG, and ODTUG's APEXposed. Roel is a very experienced Oracle software architect. He started about twenty years ago using Oracle RDBMS 5, Oracle Forms 2.3, RPT/RPF, and Oracle*Case 4.5. Anjo Kolk started as a trainee at Oracle. A job was offered and he worked for Oracle for the next sixteen years. He worked mostly with the RDBMS Performance and Oracle Parallel Server. In those sixteen years, he lived in the Netherlands, Ireland, Japan, and the U.S. During his time with the Oracle Server Performance Group, Anjo worked with many big companies that are specialized in making or selling software (Baan, SAP, Amdocs, etc.). He also worked for customers all over the world (like NTT, Docomo, etc.) to help them improve the performance of their systems as well as implementing new systems. While he was working on these performance issues, he developed a tuning method called YAPP (Yet Another Performance Profiling Method) to tune Oracle systems based on response times. Marc has fourteen years of industry experience, including roles in consulting, sales, and development and joined Oracle in 1998. Marc manages a global team of APEX developers and product managers and is responsible for product features such as Oracle Forms to APEX conversion, the APEX reporting engine, tabular forms, PDF printing and the integration with Oracle BI Publisher. Marc has a master's degree in computer science from the University of Applied Sciences in Wedel, Germany.
