Dietmar Aust is working as a freelance consultant in Germany, focusing on Oracle Application Express and Oracle XE. Starting in 1997, he worked for three years as a consultant for Oracle in Germany. After joining Hyperion consulting in 1999, Chris Barbieri helped launch Hyperion's Financial Management (HFM) product and has become a global expert on HFM application design and performance tuning. He served as senior product issues manager for HFM, Smart View, DRM, and Shared Services for over four years before joining Ranzal & Associates in 2007. Chris currently manages one of the largest HFM/FDM consulting practices and remains an active member of the product review team.

Charlie Berger has over twenty five years of experience in leading edge technologies and entrepreneurial software environments at Thinking Machines, Oracle, and several other companies. He is currently the senior director of product management, data mining technologies at Oracle Corporation. He is responsible for product management and direction for the Oracle Databases' data mining and predictive analytics technology including Oracle Data Mining, text mining, and statistical functions. Previously, he was the vice president of marketing at Thinking Machines prior to its acquisition by Oracle in 1999. Steven Feuerstein, Quest Software
Steven Feuerstein is considered to be one of the world's leading experts on the Oracle PL/SQL language, having written ten books on PL/SQL, including Oracle PL/SQL Programming and Oracle PL/SQL Best Practices (all published by O'Reilly Media). Doug Gault, Sumner Technologies
Doug Gault has been working with Oracle since 1988 starting with version 5.1B, SQL*Forms 2.0, and RPT/RPF. Since then he has focused his career on Oracle's development technologies, spending the last decade on Web-based technologies, and the last five years specifically on HTML DB/APEX. Prior to joining Sumner Technologies, Doug was the product development director for Hotsos Enterprises, during which time he was the lead architect/developer and product manager for two commercial products written in exclusively in APEX. Anjo Kolk, Miracle Benelux
Anjo Kolk started as a trainee at Oracle. A job was offered and he worked for Oracle for the next sixteen years. He worked mostly with the RDBMS Performance and Oracle Parallel Server. In those sixteen years, he lived in the Netherlands, Ireland, Japan, and the U.S. During his time with the Oracle Server Performance Group, Anjo worked with many big companies that are specialized in making or selling software (Baan, SAP, Amdocs, etc.). He also worked for customers all over the world (like NTT, Docomo, etc.) to help them improve the performance of their systems as well as implementing new systems. While he was working on these performance issues, he developed a tuning method called YAPP (Yet Another Performance Profiling Method) to tune Oracle systems based on response times. He is recognized as the father of the YAPP-methodology which was first documented in the YAPP white paper in 1998 and publicly used in his Web site oraperf.com. This method can also be used on non-Oracle SQL systems. He taught at many internal Oracle classes throughout the world. He is the author of the well-known and often quoted, "Oracle7 Wait Events and Enqueues" white paper, the owner and inventor of the http://www.oraperf.com Web site, and one of the founders of the OakTable Network. After Oracle, he worked for Precise Software Solutions for two years as an Oracle technologist, and worked for Veritas Software Application Performance Management (APM) for two years as an Oracle Technologist where he developed performance prototype software. Since his transfer almost five years ago into engineering, Clemens is responsible for cross product integration and strategic standards and is also a member to the Oracle's SOA platform steering committee. In his current role, he serves on the OASIS TC for Service Component Architecture (SCA) and supports customers all around the world on their journey towards implementing enterprise-wide SOA.
